DuckDuckGo to Make Privacy-Focused Desktop Browser

DuckDuckGo announced that the company will build their own web browser for PC. Unlike most popular browsers, like Microsoft Edge, the private search engine firm claims its browser will be created from the ground up. “Instead of forking Chromium ... we’re building our desktop app ... allowing us to strip away a lot of the unnecessary cruft and clutter,” DuckDuckGo said. A release date was not revealed.
